Lyon, located in southeastern France, between two hills and alongside the Rhone and Saone Rivers, is a city with diverse
history and culture. It is the third largest city in France and home to world-renowned silk industry, some of the best restaurants
in the world, and wine. Needless to say there is plenty to be done within the city. High above Lyon, towers Mount Fourviere,
meaning, “the one who prays.” Take a funicular to the top and enjoy the sweeping view of the city.Fourviere is
also home to a renowned statue of the Virgin Mary and site of a spectacular sound and light show nightly in the summer. Le
Vieux Carre, or old city, is the heart of Lyon. One of the best-preserved, Renaissance sectors in Europe, Lyon’s old
town sits at the foot of Mt. Fourviere. The Medieval and Renaissance architecture here is entrancing. The area
encompassing Lyon was once part of the Roman Empire. Many reminders of their majestic architecture survive. One such reminder
is the Gallo-Roman Amphitheater. There are also many art museums as well as fine dining. Wine is a huge product in France
and varies in tastes as well as production all across the country. Visit a Vineyard and enjoy the tour. (Suggested 3 days)

Take the 2 hour trip to Avignon, here you could spend 3 days just taking in all the sites. Entrenched with rich history
this city offers plenty of amusment. Take the 2 hour trip to Geneva Switzerland, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Here you can Sniff the fresh mountain air from the top of St-Pierre Cathedral, and dodge the spray from the soaring Jet d'Eau. View
the headquarters for the UN. You can also visit the Monument de la Reformation, a tribute to the work done by religious reformants
including Jean Calvin.
