1 Hour Trips
Due to traffic it might take you a half an hour to get outside the city but once you do fields of grapes or vineyards stretches for miles. The wine making process is a very delicate process that requires part art and part science. While its impossible to produce a wine from a bad grape, it is very possible to produce a bad wine from a good grape. The poor quality of land that surrounds Bordeaux helps to distinguish these wines from other regions. Visit the local touring agency located in Bordeaux and they will take you on an excursion to the 'Chateaux' where you can get a tour and a lesson on how the grapes are harvested, stored, and bottled. You will also be allowed to taste some of the famous wines and at the end will have the opportunity to purchase some. Also Bordeaux is located right on the coast so going to the beach is always an option and can offer a days worth of fun.
